The Frazetta Art Museum at LA Comic Con: A West Coast Return with Savage Crucible

The Frazetta Art Museum at LA Comic Con: A West Coast Return with Savage Crucible

We’re thrilled to share our experience from LA Comic Con 2024, marking the Frazetta Art Museum’s first trip to the West Coast in nearly a decade! Thanks to the generous invitation and partnership with Savage Crucible, we had an unforgettable time connecting with fans, old and new, and showcasing some of Frank Frazetta’s most iconic works.

Hosted by Savage Crucible: A Collaborative Adventure

Our trip was made possible by the incredible team at Savage Crucible, who kindly hosted us at their booth. This collaboration allowed us to bring a taste of the Frazetta Art Museum to Los Angeles and celebrate the synergy between Frazetta’s legendary fantasy art and Savage Crucible’s bold, collectible figures. Savage Crucible continues to push the boundaries of fantasy-inspired creations, and it was a perfect match for the world of Frazetta.

At the center of their display was the Warrior Ball and Chain figure, a stunning collectible inspired by Frazetta’s iconic work of art. Fans were excited to get a glimpse of this highly-anticipated piece, and we’re thrilled to report that Savage Crucible plans to release the figure for sale by the end of the year!

Bringing Frazetta’s Fine Art to the West Coast

For our first West Coast trip in almost ten years, we made sure to bring some of our fan-favorite fine art prints. These stunning reproductions of Frank Frazetta’s most iconic works, from "Death Dealer" to "Silver Warrior," were a hit at the booth.

We also offered our brand-new Frazetta Playing Cards, which were a massive success! These playing cards are not only functional but also feature some of Frank Frazetta’s most famous illustrations, making them a unique collectible for both card players and art enthusiasts.

Connecting with the Frazetta Community

One of the best parts of attending LA Comic Con was the chance to reconnect with fans of Frazetta’s work. Many attendees came to share stories of how Frank’s art had influenced their love for fantasy, art, and storytelling. From the seasoned fans who grew up with Frazetta’s covers on pulp novels and comic books, to newer fans discovering his work through modern media, we had the pleasure of meeting an incredible array of people who have been touched by Frank’s legacy.

It’s always an honor to hear personal stories and memories from those who have followed Frazetta’s career over the years. For us, these moments are a reminder of how enduring Frank’s impact on the world of art truly is. Whether fans were seeing the artwork for the first time or revisiting a long-time favorite, the energy and excitement were palpable.

Looking Ahead

As we wrap up this exciting trip to LA Comic Con, we can’t help but feel inspired by the warm reception we received. It was a joy to connect with our West Coast community once again, and we look forward to more events, exhibits, and collaborations in the near future.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Savage Crucible for hosting us and making this trip possible. Their dedication to crafting incredible fantasy figures, like the Warrior Ball and Chain, complements Frazetta’s world perfectly, and we’re excited to see what they release next.
